After Katrina hit the New Orleans area, Six Flags amusement park was abandoned, and still sits today. Some urban explorers got in and took a bunch of interesting photos (ala River Country).

Annnd, here's some video of the park that was shot with permission. At the end of the video it says the park was to be demolished in Jan. 2011, but it didn't happen yet.

Fascinating. I saw recently where someone produced some fake "what would Disneyworld look like if it was abandoned" type pictures. They just did nothing for me, they weren't realistic at all. *THESE* are totally creepy and wonderfully real.
