Welcome to Disneyland tour question

We are taking the inlaws (1st time to any Disney park)to Disneyland next summer and I was wondering what everyone thought of the Welcome to Disneyland tour.

What rides did you get to go on?

What type of info did they tell you on this tour?

But DL is a smallish park and you may have more fun NOT doing a tour. Read up on DL, either on websites or a guide book.

I'm thinking of taking the Walk In Walts Footsteps tour and am wondering about that too.

Are they basically the same tour?
