Tiffany , I am glad to see people who do jury duty. I know it is not fun, but you need level headed people. Some jurors , man oh man. Enough said, I don't want to ruin my day.

Good Morning all....I hope everyone had a good weekend!!

We had a Disney kind of weekend DH and I went to Disneyland on Saturday afternoon for our annual holiday date night. I was hoping crowds would be on the light side due to the rain, but it was not to be. Luckily the rain stayed away for a good part of the night and I was able to watch some of the Candlelight Processional. I had never seen it before so that was fun!

We had dinner at the Big Thunder BBQ, rode a couple of rides and I got a few gifts for the kids. Mostly we just enjoyed all the atmosphere.

Yesterday morning DD and I wrapped a bunch of presents so that our tree is no longer naked at the bottom

Then last night we took the kids down to the port to see the Wonder head out for its last Mexican Riviera cruise. We will probably go down again next Sunday when it leaves LA to return to FL

OK...that was my weekend. Now I am off to read back and she what everyone else has been up to

That sounds like so much fun!!! I miss the Wonder...

Ew. no fun. On all counts.

But at least I get to leave work early now (since I came in early). Also found a dress on lunch and went to the bank.

Ohh, I remember Jimmy Osmond. He was the youngest of the Osmond Family and used to perform with the Osmond Brothers. I had the biggest crush on him when I was a kid (thinking I was about 9 or 10 at the time, LOL).

Yeah, I don't recall him doing much after he got older but I think he did pretty well as a kid. Maybe his voice change in puberty was not good to him

Oh I know... I wouldn't normally complain but we are due to leave for a cruise this Saturday! Have been looking forward to it forever and with all I have going on I NEED a break. He is currently being questioned for a 3-4 day case!

Most of the time if you have a vacation planned they excuse you and call you back at a later date.

Aww, I hope the judge will let him off the case, given the circumstances. I don't think they want to risk losing a juror at the very end when it can be avoided. And I can't imagine them expecting someone to miss a cruise for a 3-4 day case.

Yeah you have to ask to be excused in advance, I think. But since the call to jury duty was this Mon (Dec 3) and not during our trip (Dec 8-15) I didn't think we could do that.

Yes, as soon as you get the notice show proof that you have it scheduled and they should excuse you and then recall.

They usually do understand when sending out the notices that people do have certain things going on. So I would let them know next time. Because you don't want to picked and then it may extend into the time you would be gone. Nothing you can do now. Sometimes in the case of this one they may plead guilty and no need to serve.

i got picked for a jury when I was 19. Guess the lawyers thought I'd be a big softie in a wrongful death suit because they exercised their right to remove me and two other girls my age. I was soooo disappointed!
