I only joined Facebook so I could see my daughter's pictures after she went away to college. "Could you send me a picture of your semi-formal?" "Oh, Mom, it's on Facebook!" Luckily, she friended me!

And speaking of whom: She just got notice that her landlord isn't renewing her lease. So now she has to find a new apartment (which means that I have to go help her - she's only legally an adult!) And the new job she wanted fell through. Add her to the "bad luck or no luck" crowd!

I know my troubles are light in comparison to others here, but thanks for letting me vent a little!

You know what tho? I unpacked the ENTIRE apartment in one day by myself - even moving furniture. The movers put stuff in appropriate rooms but I had to figure out the spatial configuration. And I mean unpacked EVERYTHING. ugh I was sore

Thanks! I do, too (most of the time!), but it's still tough. As they say, a mother is only as happy as her unhappiest child.

No, she's a year out. So searching for one she can afford is also tough - she wants to be self-sufficient (love that about her! ) - she has a job, but is looking for something that's more aligned with her interests. Moving involuntarily makes it harder than deciding that you want to live somewhere else. She would have happily stayed where she was.

I do the same thing. The very first thing I put together the day before the move is my kitchen. All but the refrigerator. When we moved here, it was funny as we had about 8 guys. And all that was left was the furniture. They loaded it and unpacked it. They were done in an hour and a half.

I always say that, and then I think why do I want to work off even more calories. I am so craving a cinnabon.
