Good morning all! Is anyone here on pintrest? One of my friends recent got me addicted. I put it off for so long knowing i would haha

I signed up for some reason but I never use it. I just can't get the point of it.

Sooo who wants to hear more of my bad news? Docs found cancer in my dad. My bro said it was in his "groin"... Not sure which kind of cancer specifically... No one answered when I called. Man...

I'm so sorry to hear this!!!! I am praying that it is in the early stages.
I'll keep reading to catch up but could your brother be referring to prostate cancer?

We are going on a cruise in 12 days and I am way too stressed to look fwd to it! To add to it... My hubs got called for jury duty next week.

I wouldn't blame anyone if they thought I was making this stuff up for sympathy... it is surreal

I hope you are able to de-stress enough to enjoy the cruise. Can your DH reschedule the jury duty? Usually they will do that if you show proof of the upcoming vacation.

I don't know... Maybe I should have him take some of our documents along with him. The jury duty is this coming monday (Dec 3) and we leave on the following sat (dec 8). So hoping he doesn't make a jury at all...

My mom had custody and my dad had visitation so we saw him every other weekend and like a week in the summer. But he lived with my grandparents so it felt more like going to see them. He worked til late fri so we saw him sat and sunday morning (grandparents transported us both ways)

LOL - nope, you don't get to be the drama queen this week. I'm taking over that tiara Can you believe that it has been 10 days since my appointment and still no call to schedule my MRI? Now I have to reschedule my follow-up appointment with the doctor because he won't have the MRI results to review with me anyway. (OK, that was my gripe for today....who gets the tiara now?).

But seriously....you can talk with us about it anytime. Please don't feel like you can't share what is going on. Especially with things like this!!!!

Yes, she took us away. We did not see him for years. When they divorced, it was done without him knowing where we were and she hid us from for years....

DH's Mom did the same thing to him. He grew up believing his Dad was a monster but it turned out that it was really his Mom that was. He has nothing to do with her now.

I guess his Dad and stepmom made many attempts to contact him but he was always afraid of them based on years of his mother's influence.
He did finally agree to meet with his Dad about 16 or 17 years ago and found the parent that he really wishes he would have had growing up. Unfortunately, he only had about 2 or 3 years with him before his father passed away.

I called yesterday to find out what was going on and they transferred me to the scheduler, who was not there. So I left another message but she did not call me back either.

They are usually pretty good in that office so I'm wondering if they are still waiting on my insurance. I know they have to get pre-approval before they can schedule it. But at least they could call me back and let me know that is what the holdup is

I joined pinterest and someone I know started following me, which I don't mind. I like the person. I was shocked as I had just signed up. I don't know how they knew I joined to follow. It was strange. I haven't been on it in a long time.

I cant get into pinterest either. There are a lot of great ideas and info on that site, but i just cant get into it for some reason. Maybe i should start thou. I could use some recipe ideas. They have some great recipes on that board!
