Welcome to cattle encounters of the 4th diMOOnsion!

Ugh I am still stressed out and I think that's why my stomach is hurting. Husband is home AGAIN sick due to no voice (it's coming back a little but him being bullheaded he waited til today to start his meds so it didn't come back enough :((( )

We don't have sick leave... it's just lumped into our vacation time... and since he has had several other "sick days" this year we might have issues with planned trips. Not to mention that his department is strict on calling off (including sick) and the 3 days will count as 3 separate instances, even tho he went to the dr. Ugh :headache:

 I sure hope that he gets some rest this weekend and is feeling better very soon!!! And stress does that to me too so it could be why your stomach is hurting.

I'm sorry to hear that they are so strict about the sick time. I don't understand why some employers are like that. Don't they realize that forcing people to come when they are sick just gets other people sick?? We had one lady that came in very sick and ended up with two more people that sit near her having to take time off. And she made that decision on her own (our manager always tells people to stay home when sick). Luckily I don't sit near her because if I would have ended up sick and missed our tour tomorrow (non-refundable)...she would have been paying me back for it :lmao:
My company is very good about people taking time off when they are sick so it really gets me angry when people come in sick.
Wow...I guess I better jump down off this soapbox. I don't know where that came from :rotfl2:

Unfortunately he works tomorrow so not the weekend yet for him :(

He called off tues, then went Wed cause he was getting better but that pushed him over the edge. Argh!

Yeah - we work for the same company but I am in a diff department and I can be sick - no problem. The only issue is that I might have to work extra hours or screw someone else because my work needs to get done and there's not a lot of ppl that can do it. So I usually just work from home because I will end up using my vacation time but doing the same work anyways (possibly by working OT... which I'm salaried so basically I am just giving my vacation time away then).

So cool!!! How did you get in to club 33? Who do you know??? :)

You know how they say if you want to find someone, just keep asking friends and family...you never know who might be a member?

Well...I was at an event with my Dad and was looking at the silent auction offerings when I found one for dinner with a friend of my Dad's at Club 33. So I asked my Dad if his friend was a member and could he get me a reservation. I never heard anything back so I dropped it.

Fast forward to about 6 months later and I was having lunch with my Dad and we were talking about DLR. I asked if he ever asked his friend and he said he forgot (my Dad had no idea what Club 33 even was, LOL). So I get back to work after lunch and there is a message from Dad saying his friend said sure and when would we like to go. O.....M.....G.... it was as easy as that. :woohoo:

Since DS's birthday was coming up, we picked that as a reason to go. I just wish I would have thought about the Sunday brunch and picked a Sunday to go instead because that is when Mickey and Pluto stop by for a visit.
Maybe someday I'll get the courage to ask for another reservation. I just didn't want them to think I was taking advantage. Plus it was super expensive :lmao:

Oh shoot. I hope he is doing much better by tomorrow then!!!

I work from home if one of my kids are sick, for the same reason. I hate for someone else to have to cover for me if I'm fine but just sitting at home. So I save my time and work from home too.

I always hate when you take a day off and then have to spend 1 1/2 days making up for it. :lmao:

Too cool!! Did you get to take pics there? I thought dinner was like $50... is it a lot more than that?

Thanks, I hope he is better too. Not just for work... but to feel better. The annoying thing is he says he feels FINE just has no voice and a little bit of a cough. So if he was doing computer work he would be fine to work!

That's not good.:(

Yeah :(

Good Morning All...

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

Whew, this has been a long week :lmao: I'm looking forward to going to DLR tomorrow. We are booked for the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour which now includes a visit to his apartment (over the firestation on Main Street). I'm just hoping the rain we are getting doesn't mess up those plans. I'm not sure how they will handle people with wet feet going in there. I keep checking all the weather sites to see if the forecast has changed :rotfl2:

Have a great time at DLR

that sucks... We have the same thing here... Personal Time off is everything, vacation, sick, leave, any time off...

We took a ton of pictures inside the club (including the womens restroom because you just have to take a picture of those toilets, LOL). I'll see if I can find some on my work computer to post for you.

I believe the price of the meal has to be at least equal to a one-day park ticket (so right now that would be $87 for adults, $81 for children). You can buy more expensive items from the menu, but if you order just a salad for example, they will still charge you that minimum amount. In my dd's case, she didn't like anything on the adult menu so she asked for something on the kid's menu and we were told they could do that but they still had to charge her as an adult (which we already knew and were fine with). We just wanted to make sure she had something that she liked. So they brought her a double portion of a kids meal.

We budgeted about $100 a person for the meal but I think it was actually closer to $500 for the 4 of us (once we added in tip, drinks and taxes). Then of course in addition there are the Club 33 items you can buy. We all walked out of there with new Club33 baseball caps, a key chain, a tote bag for me, etc. So for that reason (financial) it isn't something we would do very often, even if I was comfortable asking for more reservations ;) :rotfl2:

Venom... What kind of bed did/do you use? We had the Kong one before

We had some cheap one. But the one she lays in while in the living room we picked up at ROSS. She doesn't chew on that at all in fact she is laying in it now.

AHHH that IS pricey. Don't you get a park ticket to get in for club 33? Is that why it has to cost that much?

Nice! I've gone through 2 Kongs... which arel ike $35+ so not cheap... and just got this new one which seems good. It'll be easy to wipe off the hair, at least!

That's my girl!:thumbsup2

haha well the (double bath) used up most of the vodka (6 cups!!!) and then there was just a "little" bit left so I drank it so we could toss the bottle. :rotfl:

Oh and I'm back from the gym... 5 days in a row this week... made it to all my classes!

I am beat tho - lol. Fridays are a TOUGH class... alternating 1:15 of strength with 1:15 of jumprope for like 10 times... with extra jump rope at the end. I trip on that thing so much
