Welcome Party at resorts?

Did anyone choose to do this for their guests? I've heard of them at the Yacht Club on the beach and at the marina at the GF. How much do these cost? I was thinking it would be cool to have cocktails and something small to eat.

How many people are you having? Looking for something in the evening? We had a group dinner the night before the wedding & breakfast at
Ohana's the morning after......

I would have about 20 people. I was looking for something outside, but I don't want to be a full course meal, just something small.
