I have read posts about the Summer Block Party at PI, but was wondering if anyone has made it over to the BoardWalk for Welcome Home Wednesdays?

I have read posts about the Summer Block Party at PI, but was wondering if anyone has made it over to the BoardWalk for Welcome Home Wednesdays?

Should we take advantage of this, we're new to this(DVC not Disney!)...

We attended Welcome Home Wednesday, and the Summer Block Party last week.

At the Welcome Home Wednesday they played a "Jeopardy" type game with the host Rex and the prize assistant Centa (sp?).

They provided lemonade, bags of white cheddar popcorn and Cracker Jacks.

We had a great time playing along.

They gave a few door prizes away and when we left, each person was given a DVC Member hat. They were very nice. When we saw a DVC guide later in the week, he was admiring the hat. I guess they are fairly new.

At the Block Party, we were each given a visor. The kids had a lot of fun here and really loved the free arcade games. In fact, all four of us were in the arcade playing after the drawing when they finally closed it down and made us leave about 7:45 p.m.

Thanks for asking Corrine, I just assumed it was a sales pitch. We just may go to one when we're there.

Too funny!! We were there that night as well... DS5 spent quite a while in the arcade before I dragged him outside to go and play "flip a frog"....
