Sunday May 23rd
The girls actually slept in this am, much to my dismay. So much for getting to AK for rope drop. The time change proved to be a problem more this year than last. I think the girls ate fruit snacks and fruit for breakfst-lets hear it for healthy. I think we made it to AK after 10am. First on the agenda was the FOTLK show. We were not there early so did not get great seats. I did take a couple of pics-not so great sorry.
This was our first time for the show and the girls really liked it. We then went and stood in line to get FP's for Kali River Rapids to ride after lunch. We wandered around looking at the various sights around Africa and Asia.
We had a noon ADR at Yak and Yeti and once again this was one of the best meals of the trip. Even the girls ate! Our server was awesome. Cayley really liked the fried green beans though she pulled the breading off
Avery enjoyed her wonton. No pics-sorry. After lunch we went on Kali River Rapids. Everyone really lked it and did not get wet. We also took a trip out to the Conservation Station. Really cool place.
There were no animals on the vet area for us to see but we did meet
She was very sweet. Cayley used to call her Cokenanas.
We wandered around a bit more and then it was time to catch the train back to meet up with Leanne and family for the parade. They had saved us some room on the brick wall and the kids sat on the ground next to or on top of their buddies. I used my zoom lens for this and some of the pics turned out really nice if I do say so myself
It is such a fun parade. After the parade we went off in search of ice cream and I believe Leanne went off in search of an adult beverage
Up next, some cute ice cream eating pics and the GG
