welcome dessert party/dinenr

i was thinking of doing a welcome dinner/dessert party for wishes. I was wondering does anyone know if the 2 can be combined? i wanted the welcom party to be londer than 1 1/2 hours. I know dessert parties only last that long and thats why i wanted to combine the 2. I wanted to do the dessert party at the Grand floridian marina. can they set up a buffet there? or woudl we have to have a dinner in a restuarant and do the dessert party afterwards?

They can do a buffet there! I had one 2 weeks ago at Sago Cay. I was given 2.5 hours for a dinner, I didn't add a DP menu, since the buffet menu had dessert.

If you are having a dinner, there is a $1000 min. I read that there was a set up fee, and a small party fee, but mine both most have been waived. Maybe it was because I spent a lot for decor, or because I spent quite a bit over the minimum
