Welcome Bags

I had a quick question about Welcome bags you would leave for guests staying at a hotel..what would you put in it?..any pics of yours

I'm putting in a bunch of snacks: chips, granola bars, capri sun, candy, etc. I also put in a little welcome letter. No pic yet because they're not done yet... I like to wait till the last minute to do everything

i am going to put in mine a welcome booklet with all the wedding detaisl, maps of the parks, travel size toiletries and some little make up sets for the girls. for the kids ones i'm getting autograph books and fun things and of course a postcard addressed to us

These were my wedding project babies. I spent a ridiculous amount on them in the end (doesn't hurt when its $30 or $50 here and there) but Target, BJ's, and eBay were most helpful in getting what I wanted

I ended up not using the folder because it didn't fit right and use a variety of blue tissue papers

I forgot to take pics of mine all put together but if you check my planning journal I took pictures everything that went into them....there was quite a lot and if you shop around you can find some really good deals.

Where did you get those gorgeous bags or the design? Is it ok if I use it?

Alright I dug up some pictures...let me try to recall what I put in the bags:

Adults got:
Disney plush
mickey photo album/frame
mickey notepad and pens
disposable camera
personalized water bottles(2)
personalized hot sauce
Disney cookies (2)
personalized hershey nuggets
welcome packet
xmas ornament antenna topper
mickey/minnie backpacks
granola bars

The kids didn't get the hot sauce, albums/frames, or the cameras....nor did they get granola bars or water bottles. Instead they got the above with juice boxes, candy, disney fruit snacks, a special toy (Mickey barbies for the girls and Cars rip cord toys for the boys). The kids also got special shirts to wear to the MK.

Our welcome bags were a huge hit and lots of fun for everybody!

I have a lot of stuff at my mom's house but I have to go through it all to see what I really have.

How did the paper totes work out? I'm thinking canvas totes but I haven't found a deal on them.

Hi,

I found mine at www.ecobags.com. I wasn't sure about the size I wanted so I bought two different ones to begin with. They then sent me a letter a day or two after I received my bags with a 15% discount on my next order. Needless to say I bought the rest right away. Every order since I have been given a discount so I find it helpful.

How did you like the quality of the Mickey and Minnie backpacks? I was thinking of getting them and actually using them as my welcome bag (that I'm distributing at the welcome dinner vs. to the individual resorts.) TIA!

They were actually pretty good quality though a bit smaller than I thought. My family loved them and everyone used them to carry around their stuff at the parks!!

Yipee! This was exactly what I have been looking for. I just bought them on ebay and I ended up getting them for what I consider a steal!!! ($2.44 each including shipping!! Woohoo!!!) They're like a nylon with a mesh overlay, right? And the guys liked them too??

yep...I got mine on ebay too...maybe from the same seller, I got a great deal. I guess the guys liked them though it was the women and children that mostly carried them, lol.

Now I just have to figure out what to put in these things!

So far I've ordered leis & custom M&M's. I thinking maybe water bottles and snack type stuff. And maybe a candy bag like Caryn did. I want something special for everyone too since we're not doing favors the day of the wedding, I just can't decide what.

Would it be weird to do the mickey xmas ornaments (the ones you can buy at dtd and the personalize with the painty pens) and personalize them, even though it's february??? IDK what to do!?!
