I found really great bags at the Dollar Tree this past week. THey are canvas bags that come a variety of colors, green, red, blue and white each with a small decal in the corner of a beach/summer scene. Perfect for Florida. You can even embelish them with your wedding info on them. They have 2 sizes. I got the wider bags about 1 1/2 feet long and 1 ft tall with a long handles. I know they are going to work out perfect for my welcome bags.

And I thought I was the only one that found these!!! I was at Dollar Tree last weekend and had regular gift bags in my cart, then I spotted those. I bought the wide blue ones for each of our guests. We are getting married at Sunset Pointe on the 25th and thought they would be perfect with the beach theme. They also had Disney character photo albums and night lights that I also purchased to add along with the other stuff . princess:

Yeah, I though the bags were perfect. I will have to look for those disney photo albums, I didn't see them.

Are you having a custom or intimate? If intimate are you arranging for the bags to be in your guest's room upon arrival and if so, how? If you are custom does Disney really limit how much you can do on your own? I'm still trying to determine which type of wedding we're having and I want to make sure that within either parameters I'll still be free to involve ny own creativity, not to mention find products that are within our budget. I just don't want to get into a situation where for example to do gift bags Disney forces me to purchase theirs when I can get cute ones at Target (or Dollartree) for much cheaper.

Can you tell I'm slightly stressed (:) ??

Erica - first off relax! Disney doesn't dictate everythig about your wedding. You are free to buy thigns ony our own and create things for your wedding. There are requirements and certain restrictions but things like invitations, welcome bags you can do on your own. For your custom we are making our own welcome bags and putting whatever we want in there WE are delivering them. Same with invitations. Customs do have a bit more freedom in terms of receptions, wedding times. This board has a lot of that information. YOu can bring your own favors to the wedding - like we are doing and provide your own centerpieces. However, they do charge a set-up fee for thee things hth

Thank you! You've just taken care of one of my main concerns! If only I knew how many people we're coming so we can decide between INtimate and Custom. :)

erica you could send out a pre-rsvp card and invite to your family and friends to see who will attend. You can pritn them on your own and kind of format it like a survey...will you e able to attend our Disney Fairytale Wedding on....?

this way you get them back and can make a decision based on that. HTH

Thats a great suggestion and it is the direction we're headed. I thinking it will be an engagement announcement/a 2007 Disney wedding is planned/please tell us if you're interested in sharing the celebration type deal.

I really appreciate all your comments!

Thank you so much. For some reason i never thought of bags. I knew i didnt want to do the baskets, so i was thinking of boxs, but bags seem much more doable :thumbsup2 now im thinking of those crafty brown bags at hobby lobby and using that straw like ribbon to tie it together, hmmmm??!
