If you would like to have something delivered to a guest, you need to have the name the reservation is under and the date they will check in to the hotel. It is very important to have the reservation name even if that is not the name of the person to receive the item. Disney books under one name. They can do a global search to find other names, but it is time consuming and not all CMs are adept at doing this. I can't stress this enough.
Another thing our WP suggested we put on the tags is a little note that says:
If this bag cannot be delivered by DATE, please call the Bride at xxx-xxx-xxxx.
That way, at least you'll get a call if it can't be delivered. Otherwise, the bag will just go into the resort's lost and found area (or disappear completely.)
Thanks! Fortunately, we never got a phone call from any of the resorts, so I'm pretty sure everybody got their gifts. A few guests said they had to argue a bit (insisting that there really was something there for them) to get them right when they checked in, but other than that, no problems!

That really is a great tip! I wish I would have thought to do that. DH's parents never received their bag (hopefully they were the only ones). We called lost and found everyday during our stay and it never turned up. I was really disappointed with how Disney (well the managers at our resort) handled the situation. We had over a $100 worth of things in the bag plus all of the hours we put into them (we made our own so sewing took forever). I definitely think putting your phone number on the bag is incredibly smart .
