What is there to eat at the welcome aboard buffet? Is it worth eating there or before we get on the ship?

It's a huge lunch buffet. I don't think you have to worry about there not being enough to eat.

As long as the kids eat some type of meat, pasta, vegetable, cake, cookie, etc....yes. There's sandwich stuff also. I don't think they had anything like PB&J though.

They Also offer what I like to call Chldrens Comfort foods
Chicken fingers mac and cheese and some others
there will be something for everyone....

Is there a good selection for the picky kids?
Just dont forget you are going on a dcl cruise. LOL But yes theres pizza, pasta, mac and cheese, chicken fingers, lunch meats. Pasta Salads and stuff. Lots to eat at either Parrot Cay or Topsiders. You wont have a problem. Enjoy your Cruise.

On our first cruise on the Wonder, our 5 year old was doing the old "I dont want that", I dont want that" when we went to the buffet as soon as we got onboard........

A CM heard her and asked to bring her somewhere for a few minutes.

They came back with a hot dog, french fries, mac and cheese, etc... and the 5 year old had a big grin on her face.

I later found out they went to Goofy's snack bar and got her exactly what she wanted.
