Weirdness with downloading show to iTouch

I thought that my iTouch had handled the changes to the feed seamlessly. I haven't had any problems until today. It is a 5th Generation iTouch with iOS 6.1.3. I listen to the podcasts using the "Podcast" app. I'm subscribed to the DIS Unplugged (both Orlando and Disneyland versions!).

I noticed this morning that only the Animal Kingdom segment from yesterday was downloaded. I tried to manually update, and it wasn't finding the News show. Finally went to the iTunes store and found the News show. When I selected it, I was NOT subscribed to it. Clicked on Subscribe and I now have 2 orange DIS Unplugged Orlando editions in my podcast app. The original one with the older episodes and yesterday's AK segment and a new one with just the News show from yesterday.

Has this happened to anyone else? Will future episodes now show up under the "new" DIS Unplugged Orlando Edition?

Yep. Exact same thing happened to me. I listen on the Podcast app on my iPhone 3GS. I now have two different Dis Unplugged subscriptions in my Podcast app.

What's the length of the podcast for news & housekeeping podcast this week? I keep downloading the May 7th podcast but it ends up in my feed as 4/23/13 podcast

I'm having the same issues with my iPod touch. I downloaded the News show, it says that it downloaded, if I look at my iPod in iTunes, it's there. But when I go to play it, I get the new Edition, where the Animal Kingdom & New Jersey podcasts are, but no sign of the News for 5/7/13. I didn't think to check if it had the wrong name.

Same happened here. I had to resort to plugging the itouch (ancient Gen 2).

I still can only see podcasts to 2011... how can you get older ones via iTunes?

I had the same thing happen to me with iTunes. I ended up unsubscribing and the re-subscribing to the podcast and it worked fine after that other then it brought up all of the old podcasts, which I had to delete, so i don't download them by mistake.

More related weirdness!

This morning, I wanted to download the ladies only show to my Touch. I wasn't sure which of the TWO DIS Unplugged podcasts to use. I tried the "new" one that had just the News show first and rather than update with the ladies show, it removed the News show (which I was about half way through listening to). I then had a DIS unplugged podcast with no podcasts in it. I then tried the "old" one in hopes that everything would just show up there. The Ladies Only show appeared, but still no News show (I had Ladies Only, AK part 2 and a couple older episodes there.)

Giving up on direct download to the Touch, I fired up the PC and went to iTunes. Unfortunately, the DIS Unplugged feed there only had the Ladies Only, AK part 2 and all the older episodes.

Next I went to the iTunes Store, searched for DIS Unplugged and found the News show. I had to subscribe to get it and I now have 2 DIS Unplugged feeds under podcasts in my iTunes. When I sync-ed to my iTouch, the News show again appeared under the "new" DIS Unplugged feed and I was able to listen to it on my way to work.

At this point, I have what I needed. I've listened to the News show and it looks like newer stuff is showing up in the "old" list so hopefully, it will go back to working normally after this. I just wanted to provide all the details in case the guys are looking into it.

Same thing happened to me on iphone 5. I deleted the podcast subscription from my library, then went to the store subscribed again and downloaded the episodes. We will see next week what happens.

Not only did I have the same probs with my iPod touch, the Ladies Only show that was marked as new (about Mother's Day) was really the last one (about food) when I played it.
