I think this thread has about run its course. This is also not the place to debate how smoke can cause sinus problems.

This is a resorts planning board. Thank you all for your cooperation when posting.

Please oh Please tell me what your room # was.
We'll be staying there in Jan. & May in the 60's section.
If they try to give us your room or the room next to it...we will not take it.

Please oh please reply. Thanks....

Sorry to veer off topic (although personally I found the speculation on how the feces got on the TP a little more offensive than the sinus infection discussion! :rotfl: ).

We stayed in room 6272 a few weeks ago and also smelled cigarette smoke around the bathroom area certain times of the day. It was not extremely strong, but noticeable. My theory is that someone in the room (either below us or above us) was sitting in the bathroom, smoking with the fan on. I believe the smell came through that way. As for the TP, I also tend to agree that it probably originated w/the manufacturer. I don't believe anyone on the Mousekeeping staff would want to jeopardize their employment just because someone requested their room be cleaned at a certain time.

Really, when you look at the big picture (the number of people that are resort guests @ WDW), there are very few unhappy incidents reported.

So glad you DD is feeling better. :goodvibes

I watched JFK on USA earlier today so let me throw my conspiracy theory at you. I'm not Dick Tracy but after reading the original post, it sure sounds like housekeeping is messing with you. Just my humble opinion, but has anyone considered that the smoking came from housekeeping. If you were cleaning rooms all day and your jones starts acting up, you would consider lighting up in a bathroom of one of the rooms you were cleaning.

I suspect management knew of this employee's habit and confronted the employee. Combine the smoking issue with the room deodorizing and the cleaning time request, I believe the housekeeper may have retaliated with the toilet paper roll.

I know you could never prove such a thing but that was my first thought as I read the post.

I also agree with an earlier post. I am very mild mannered but if that toilet paper mess happened to my family, I would have been causing a major uproar with management. Companies have been sued for millions over things less dangerous/offending than that.
