Weird refillable mug question - seltzer?

Okay. I apologize for such a lame question, but I legitimately can't find the answer to this anywhere and it's driving me nuts.

I drink a lot of carbonated water. A LOT. Like, several liters a day. But I don't drink any soft drinks, usually. We are getting refillable mugs with our DxDDP, or else I probably wouldn't bother, because I really don't like very sweet drinks and fear I won't use it at all.

But then I had a thought. You know how some soda machines have a little tab you can press for "water" and another little tab for "soda," and if you press that one, you get plain carbonated water that isn't mixed with any soft drink syrup?

Does anybody know if the refillable mug stations have that little tab? I will be absolutely pleased as punch if they do. :cloud9:

(I know, dumb question, I am sorry.)

I know what you are talking about, I used to work at McDonald's back in the day, and our drink systems had that button to just get carbonated water. I don't recall seeing that on any of the drink systems at the food courts. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think so.

Nearly every soda dispenser I have ever seen has those. Now, I have not stayed at every resort on Disney property, but the food courts on the ones I did always had them. I think it is pretty much a standard on those things.

I don't remember one at POP, but then again I wasn't looking for it.

Yeah, they have them on all the soda machines at POP I think. Or at least a few of them, as I remember using them on our last trip, just a few months ago.

We just went down for the marathon and I can tell you they definitely do NOT have on at the poly. I was very dissapointed. And they replaced the light lemonade with pomagranite lemonade blech! I was very sad I really could only drink diet coke. I love it but I had spent the month prior to reducing my addiction by subbing seltzer. I was very dissapointed down in Disney. I only found seltzer at restaurants with bars.

I want to say that the soda machines at Gasparilla's Grill & Games in the Grand Floridian had a water option on them, however I am not 100% sure about that. What I can say for sure is that there is no water option on the soda machines at the Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary.

Aw, and we're staying at the Poly, too. :( That stinks. Thanks everybody, though. At least now I know!

Most soda machines have a water option, but I'm almost positive it's not going to carbonated.

I LOVE carbonated water. I've figured out that it's the texture of soda that I crave. The bubbles!!!! So I've saved myself calories by drinking soda water!! When I studied abroad, most bottled water was carbonated but we couldn't read the labels to see if it had bubbles or not. When most people heard that tell-tale "Pa-ssshhhh" when opening their bottle, they were crushed! Not me!!

And what's up with the change to pomegranate lemonade??? We just returned and everywhere we went, DS wanted lemonade but I knew he wouldn't go for that!

Well since the refillable mugs are at the resorts, I would call the resort you are staying at and ask.....Disney is great about handling questions...Good Luck

Well when you call the resorts your actually calling a call center that always answers with the name of the resort your calling. Plus sometimes they are not able to answer all the questions someone might have or they might have the wrong information, so the best thing might be to ask when your there or seeing for yourself.

Has the light lemonade been replaced with pommegranate lemonade at Pop? Is it at least light?
