Weird Rate Quote

We have family visiting and they wanted to stay at the WL. Unfortunately it was not avail with the AP/Fla Res rate so checked AKL and POR. Both resorts had the special rate but they were the exact same rate $109 nt for a std at both hotels. I had the cm check the codes again because how could a moderate be the same as a deluxe. Anyway we booked them into AKL. She said sometimes they run special at AKL.

I also used the WDTC 800 number. No wait, cm was soo nice, wont use wdisney again.

Just wanted to pass this along and see if anyone else had come across this situation.

I never knew there was a toll-free number... I've paid long distance for all my calls. Is this the company that gives a 5-day cancellation or the 45 day cancellation?

If you call that number, be sure to ask if they're CRO or WDTC.

If they say that they're WDTC, ask to be transferred. The WDTC does the 45 day thing and CRO does the 5 day.

You may not need to be "transferred" if speaking to a WDTC CM. Some CM's are trained to use either system. AT least that is what I was once told. Just let the CM know that you want to be booked thru CRO. I did this last time with no problem. Great CM.

I was originally booked thru TC and then received a code and called the toll free number (I was a Disney Club member) to cancel and book thru CRO. CM told me she was able to do it all for me because she was trained in both systems.

Now that was also 2 years ago and I was also told that they would be merging the two and it would eventually be one system used by all. Go figure.
