we stayed at SSR in early december and loved the mattresses!! can anyone tell me the "make" of the mattresses there? thanks for the help.....told ya it was weird. :earsboy:

It is a Sealy 720 Encore plush. Hotel grade, the Ritz Carlton and the Four Seasons also uses them and I agree they are great. ::yes::

Thanks for asking this. We just got back, and I thought the mattress was wonderful.

How do you know this? Didya look at the tag, and didya stay at the Ritz and 4Seasons? :rotfl2: Bob

I was in a HA modified room and I did strip the beds before we left (DS's are always losing a sock or something) and ours was a Sealy Posturepedic. It was very nice and although firmer than I prefer, it was still very comfortable.

They may use the firmer ones in the HA rooms.

You know this doubting Thomas attitude around here is beginning to wear thin. ::yes::

The OP asked, I found out from the Housekeeping manager, and then I was curious if one could buy these so I did a search and found an article about this mattress and the fact that the finer hotels use them.

Now do you need any other verification?? :confused3

My hubby loved the mattress at OKW last summer, so I did some checking, even calling the Sealy company. I was told the mattresses are made specifically for Disney and were not available to the public. They could (or would) not even give me one of their regular matresses that would be comparable.

Not to highjack the thread....but......

Sammie (or anyone else)......Do you know the specifications on the sleeper sofa mattress? Undoubtedly, the best sofa mattress I've ever slept on.

Thanks.

Ok! I looked at the sleeper sofa too! LOL!! I am considering purchasing the SSR type SS for our living room.

The manufacturer is www.americanleather.com.
I know, I know! :rotfl2:
HTH.

Thanks Bob, I truly appreciate your reponse. And if I sounded testy, well it's was not so much your comments; but the fact on some of the other forums, some people can post info and it's taken as the gospel truth and others myself included can post info and they are always questioned about it. It just gets old sometimes. ::yes::

The beds are wonderful and the GM at SSR played a large part in securing quality bedding including the sofa beds for the resort along with sound proofing.

Enjoy the upcoming trip.
