Weird question about Song's seat reservations

Made my ressies on Song a couple days ago-- have had my eye on these particular flights for some time but was waiting for a price drop, which came. When I made the seat reservations, I was able to choose my seats-- it is a 747, but very few of the seats are reserved. I would say over 75% shows as still available (this is a little over two months out.) Two days after the fare war started, I look again, and still just about 75% of the seats show as still available, despite the low price. Do you think that some seats are sold but just haven't been given seat assignments yet? Or is it pretty normal two months out to have so many empty seats? I just don't want my flights to get cancelled, I got the best times to maximize my vacation!
