Weird points math??? **UPDATE**

OK, here I go. :confused3I really don't understand what math they used for my reservation:

I made a reservation for December 12, 2009 = 448pts
UY = December 320 pts

I thought that I'm using the 320 pts of December 2009 and borrowing 128 pts from December 2010, but no so fast my friends! When I go to my account it says that I'm using for that reservation 192 pts from 2009 and that I have an available balance of 128 pts for 2009 UY and that I'm borrowing 256 pts from 2010 and that I have 64 pts for 2010 UY.:teacher:

I don't understand why they didn't use all the points of 2009 first and then the difference from 2010, I thought it was supposed to be that way.

Could please someone explain the logic of this:confused:
 
Not to worry Call MS in the morning and have them explain or fix it :surfweb:
 
You should call back. Your 2009 points should be used before there is any borrowing from 2010.

I am sure once you do, it will be straightened out quickly.

Are all points at your home resort? Were you canceling something else at the same time that might have been tying up points? Call and be sure so they can fix any points they might need to.

Yes all the points are at my home resort and no I didn't cancel anything. I will call today to see what's going on.

Here is the update:

After 27 minutes and 15 seconds talking with MS about this, they couldn't explain what happened. Most of the time I was on hold because they were trying to figure it out, and nothing. At the end they cancelled my reservation and made a new one to fix the points issue. When they reviewed the reservation with me, most of the information was wrong so more corrections were needed. They are going to send a new confirmation to me.

The CM spent almost half hour with me (8:30 - 9:00am) so you can imagine how she ended :surfweb::sick::scared:

So people, please check your accounts constantly and make sure that the points were substracted or added correctly.

I'm happy they got your points worked out. Weird that they had to cancel and rebook - sometimes computers get in the way of doing things easily don't they. :badpc: I hope you have a wonderful vacation! :goodvibes

Glad it all worked out in the end. I agree....ALWAYS check your totals after a transaction is done.
