Weird MDE mail?

So we booked 2 nights pre-cruise in March 2016 and in yesterday's mail was:

An envelope with the little brochure they're sending out with important information about your resort, dining, etc... BUT NO MAGNET? I loved the little Dumbo magnet that I could put on the fridge.

ALSO......

A BOX with the SAME BROCHURE, and an invitation to go to www.mydisneyexperience.com and set up an account. And no FLASH DRIVE? I mean, I have three already, but to just send me an empty box with a duplicate brochure?

Lame..........and wasteful. The box went right into the recycling bin. Anyone re-purpose these for anything?

Someone else posted about receiving an empty box a few weeks ago. They don't send the magnets out anymore and stopped sending the flash drives some months back but apparently not the empty boxes
Big waste of money, right along with the gazillion MB's they send out. At least you received an empty box, all I got was the little booklet in a plain envelope.

I got the empty box as well. I made me laugh since I've been more than 20 times the little booklet was over kill for me. I saved it to give to my DS and DIL who are coming, just for laughs. I've long said it would be nice if Disney had some sort of system that knew you were a return guest and didn't repeat these things. Way back in the day when you booked they would ask if you had been there before and if you had, when you checked in your room there would be a little disney rubber figurine waiting for you with a welcome back letter. It was cute and nice that they acknowledged that you were a returning guest.
