Weird Bounty paper towel commercial - stopping a lottery ticket from getting wet

I'm curious what it is about this commercial that they're so freaked out about.

I've gotten thermal paper receipts wet before. It might get somewhat wrinkled but I've never seen anything go bad as result of getting wet - even with soda spilled. I have seen some receipts placed on my dashboard that started fading after weeks there, but even those were readable. I'm pretty sure that what lotteries use is even more stable than common receipts.

I got an old ticket (verified as not winning anything) and got it wet. The front has some sort of polymer coating (probably contains the thermal sensitive compound) and the water didn't soak through. The back did soak in water. But I shook off the water and in 10 minutes it was slightly wrinkled but still perfectly readable. I don't believe it would look like this, which someone claimed was a $63 million jackpot winner:

I just told my DW the other night after watching the commercial, why didn't they just PICK UP THE TICKET? By the time you get a paper towel, rip it off the roll and get to the spill, it's already wet, jeez, just PICK UP THE TICKET!!!!!

They have an ad with an ipad, too, that makes me scream, "Just pick it up you idiots!" I hate these ads because they're just so stupid.

And if they don't want to pick up the item, at least start at the side of the spill near the item and push it away...

Yep....all those Bounty commercial like that.....just pick it up for goodness sake.
