Okay, we're doing a four day Disneyland/California Adventure trip over New Year's and I'm doing Weight Watchers. I'm mostly relying on my ability to discern good vs. bad foods- I know there are fresh fruit and chicken sandwiches and salads in the parks. Beyond that, if anyone out there has specific favorite WW friendly options in the parks or Downtown Disney I would love to hear them. I know I'll fall off plan at some point (like New Year's Day when we have lunch at Club 33), but I want to avoid the "I blew it, eat more" attitude.

One year that I went to DL and was doign WW I lost 2.5 lbs that week. And I didnt make myself "stick" to the plan. Its a vacation after all. I think it was all of the walking we did. But I know the feeling of needing to keep going with WW. Sometimes its hard to get back on the bandwagon after a vacation. They have food carts that sell fresh fruit, bottled water (Im kinda weird about drinking fountains), I have never tried the salads. Some places meals are big enough to share. Have fun on your trip.

I went to DL last Xmas and I will be there again this year. I found that it isn't difficult to find WW friendly things but you have to be patient and search. They have fruit bowls and salads everywhere. One thing that really helped: the kids meals. You'll find pictures on this thread. I ate at Pizza Port in Tomorrowland where they have kid's meals that are perfect WW portions with a side of carrots, grapes. The kid's spaghetti with marinara sauce comes with one meatball and the sides. The Carnation Café you can get a half sandwich and a cup of soup(no mayo or cheese and always choose the best kind of soup for the program if available). I didn't care much for fancy dining because I wanted to stay within my daily point range and the other options were more convenient for me. Check out the pictures on that thread. They helped me a lot on planning my meals and also I knew what kind of temptations I would face in advance and got prepared for them although I occasionally allowed myself to try a bite or two of my husbands orders of treats. Hope this helps.
