Hi, we're going to be staying at WL, CL from Nov. 21-Nov. 25 of this year. I hae been on WW since early August, 14 pounds gone already! I was wondering if there were any pointers since I really won't be able to count points there, unless there is a site I haven't found yet. I am also considering switching my Windows Mobile based phone for a Blackberry (I've had lots of WM issues and it will not load onto my new laptop at all), so if there are any BB apps out ther I'm interested in those as well. Thanks a bunch!

Congratulations on your weight loss so far! And good for you for planning for your new lifestyle while you are on vacation. :thumbsup2

Did you try the WW mobile site on your phone? It comes with the online version of WW. A lot of people like something called "Lose It" -- it might be an iPhone app, though.

If nothing else, try to eat set points foods for a meal of two or just go back to the old tried and true, you can eat what you want but only 1/3 of it. (or 1/2) and keep up the activity. It's normal to overindulge on vacation but as long as you plan to get right on track when you return to real life, and do it, you should be fine!

Have fun on your vacation and good luck with your planning!

Thanks, I have the mobile app for my phone loaded, I was hoping to find something with nutritional value ahead of time (fat chance). The ADRs I've made are for our old faithfuls, I know that I'll blow it with 'Ohana, but I have 35 extra points for the week (I wish that I could carry them over as I nevr use them, lol), plus, with the walking involved..... I think that as long as I don't gain I'll be okay. The restaurants that are not AYCE I'll probably share, except for Nine Dragons, since they have shrunk their portions so much in the past few years. For Sci Fi I may see if I can order the childrens burger, or I'll simply just leave food on my plate. DH has lost 40+ pounds himself, just by cutting back, so he'll be in my corner too.

I've been to WDW twice this year and both times I was on WW. I gained a little the first time and lost the second time. I think I gained in January because I didn't eat enough. You do a lot of walking. It adds up to quite a few APs. Both times, I used the menus at allears.net to help me pre-plan where my sister and I were going to eat. We only did one TS meal during each trip. In January, we went to Rose and Crown because in 2008 the chef baked my fish (I'm on a low-salt diet), but he didn't do that this time, so I ate fried fish and French fries. In 2008, he made me mashed potatoes without salt and made with soy milk. (I'm lactose intolerant too.) In August, we ate at Big River Brewery-I think that's what it's called. We loved it. I ate a Cesear salad with fish. I think it was talipia. It was so good and a good portion size, but not too much.

As for counter service...I did all sorts of things. I highly recommend the BBQ Chicken Salad at Flame Tree BBQ in AK. I know some people are against ordering a chilcren's meal, but I will admit that I did that a few times as well. A kid's hamburger was plenty for me and it comes with carrots or grapes or applesauce depending on the place and what you chose, of course. My sister and I split the ham and pineapple flatbread at Captain Cook's at the Polynesian. So good, and light on the cheeese and bread. Also, plenty of food for two. We also split a side salad and a fruit cup to go with our flatbread. If you feel like splurging a little, you can order a taco salad at Peco Bill's. Last time I ordered it, the taco shell only had the meat in it. You add your own toppings from the toppings bar. I filled my shell up with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and salsa. I didn't even put cheese on it.

Overall, I feel like I did very well sticking to WW throughout both trips. I should also mention that I cannot eat chocolate or nuts so it was pretty easy for me to avoid sweets and desserts. And, we brought our own cereal and bought milk each morning. By doing that, I knew that I had already had five points to start my morning off and I also knew exactly what I was eating with regards to sodium for one of my meals. My "treat" while we were in WDW was Frosted Mini-Wheats as opposed to regular Shredded Wheat. That's all I can think of now. If I can think of more, I'll post again. Best of luck!

Thanks for the tips. DH has now lost around 45-50 pounds, all by portion control. Hed does follow my lead however, using my points as a guideline. I think we'll probably be sharing some entrees with an extra salad or something.
