Yes, there are weight restrictions. They're posted on Delta's website. Ours felt really heavy, but when we weighed them they were way under the limit. Good luck :)

Varies by airline. Some are 50, others are 70. Check the airline website.::MickeyMo

Also be aware that there can be some stiff excessive/overweight baggage surcharges that you may be hit with if you are over the allowed number of checked bags per person or if any bag is over the individual bag weight limit or your bags are collectively over the total weight limit.

Just got back from using Song. Weigh your luggage before you leave for the airport. They will sock you with a 25.00 charge if over the limit. One of our suitcases was 48 lbs, just 2 lbs under the limit! Logan airport (Boston) was far more stricter than MCO was. MCO had somebody come and pound on the scale to make it a minus 10 for us. We were happy because it was way over weight. Just use a home scale and place your luggage on it, have someone help you balance it.

We bought new rolling duffles bags . Make sure your luggage fits the dimentions of most airlines. Rolling duffles are a lot lighter than an average suitcase, and easier to stuff in the rental car. We packed the duffles pretty full and then weight them, they were under the limit. Coming back we knew that even it the bag was stuffed it would be under the limit. Flew SONG out of MCO and used a skycap. No scale , he used the pick up the bag method, and it passed muster.

I checked the web site...and have BF pick it up he said it felt like 35 or so lbs...so, I'll take his word for it...we dont have a scale at home so that won't work...but the garmet bag we have doesnt feel very heavy...I'm gonna see if I can switch some stuff around too...thanks for the help!
