Oiy.....I have gained 5 pounds since the half marathon at wdw in January. I did take about 1.5 weeks off from runnin....but really?!? Guess without those every other week long runs? Anyone else go thru this?

I'm worse! I stepped on the scale the other day and I'm up close to 10. Needless to say, I've been actually watching what I eat more closely. I ate whatever I wanted for the week after Goofy that we were at Disney last month. I have been taking my workouts easy since then, and haven't been eating the best. Hopefully it'll come off as easily as I put it on :worship:

You have pretty much trained your body to store this food for energy and now that you are not working out like before, it is resulting in the gain. Start the workouts again and it should come off rather easily. Good luck.

I knew I would gain a bit coming off marathon training and then running the WDW marathon last month, but I feel better after gaining some weight (I lost 6 pounds training). I have gained 3 pounds, and this week have had my best runs in a while (since before the marathon). I took 5 days off after the race, a whole week before I ran ,and then got a bad cold the end of Jan. and took 4 days off the first of Feb. I wonder how the Princess is going to be as I feel about 2 weeks behind in my training...I have the LR's and speed work, but just seems that I am at the 3 weeks out point so I must taper a bit this week, but I am also feel strong so that may be a good thing. Just different as I have never run a full and six week later done a half.

Same here... I no longer run the distances I was in November and December but haven't adjusted my eating habits to reflect the decrease in mileage. I also tend to eat heavier comfort foods when it's cold out. I just have to get back out running and working out.

Ha! I gained 10 pounds after Ironman Florida. Went on a cruise the week after, then Thanksgiving then Disney then Christmas, then another cruise in January.......

Still need to lose it even though I am exercising 6 days a week. Just need to control the eating :)

enjoy,
Duane

Thanks everyone. I think I need to step it up....
