Weight Gain?

Honestly one week of eating junk at Disney isn't going to cause permanent weight gain.

It's just like if you always eat fast food at home and for one week ate healthy- that's not going to cause permanent weight loss!

First off . . . you're on vacation so who cares!!! Secondly, everything at Disney is low calorie and virtually fat free :thumbsup2 That being said . . . I gained 5 pounds on my last trip because I literally ate and drank whatever I wanted whenever I felt like it (something I definitely don't do at home). That wasn't even the frustrating part . . . DH and I ate the same stuff and walked the same amount (which was a lot!) . . . and he gained NOTHING :sad2:

We were there for 2 weeks in April and I gained 5 pounds. I just lost it maybe within the past month. I'm a size 5/6. But my body is so not use to all that eating out. Plus I had a few magaritas. I had to loose it so when we go in October I didn't have to buy new clothes.

It's the most magical place on earth. :wizard: There is NO WAY to gain weight at the place where dreams come true. So silly....:lmao:

I think they should all be magical calories that just disappear...unfortunately, no matter how much walking we do we always gain weight. We just count on being on a diet whenever we're not on vacation;)

I always gain at WDW because I eat what I want and we are not comando parkers HOWEVER I loose the weight before I go. I know I will gain about 5 lbs so I try to drop that in the weeks before i go so when I come back I am back to my normal weight. I have to fight to stay where I need to be and this works better for me.

DH and I eat alot at WDW, and we drink alot too but we have never gained any weight while at WDW...we walk alot, we take breaks and swim alot too.....but while in WDW we eat a ton of fruit and salads with every single meal.

We were on the dining plan and to help with the calories we got a bottle water or sugar free drink with meals. Choose fruit cups for snacks/desserts.

I wish that the non fries choices with CS were better. They offered beans but they were terrible.

I still gained some weight.

whenever I come home from vacation..especially if I am flying, the scale is always up a few...by the following week it is back down to normal.

No worries. The walking will take care of it.

From your lips to God's ears! I have lost 20 pounds so far and hope to drop at least 3 more before our trip in 19 days! I plan on eating like crazy. After all, it is vacation. Hopefully all the walking and swimming will keep my weight gain to a minimum. If not, I'll work it back off at home...maybe?:confused3

First off, we always eat a LOT at WDW - usually a lot of buffets. When we were on the go a lot, we might not gain any weight. But when we slowed down for a trip with DD, I came home 9 pounds heavier after 6-7 days. Most of that was water weight though. WDW's food is generally HEAVY on the sodium. So plan on some water retention as long as you drink a healthy amount (which we do). I was probably down to a 2 lb gain after a couple of days, on that 9 lb gain trip.

I just visited WDW for my 18th trip in May. I always have a gain no matter how "good" I've been. We also go go go all day long too. The lowest I've ever gained is 4 lbs and I think the highest was 9 lbs. I think this past trip was around 5. The good news is it usually comes off for me very quickly between a week or two if I get right back on track.

I lost 90 lbs between 2007 to 2008 and have been maintaining for about a year. I'll be going back for trip 19 in October for 5 days during the F&W festival and my plan is to try to actually get to 5 lbs below my goal weight before I go. I'd rather have my clothes loose at the beginning of the week then tight at the end. :rotfl:
