I am so envious! Not really envious - I know how hard it is to lose weight. Tried over half of my life!

I joined WW four weeks ago and did great the first week. 2.8 pounds lost. Then I went to MS to visit my DGDs and then came home for one day and went to WDW. Missed two meetings and can't get back on track. Have a family wedding on March 27 and will not go at this size!

Have a YMCA membership and was going to wateraeroebics five nights a week. Flunked out!:rotfl2: Class was too crowded so they sent half of us to the deep end. I can't swim and have chronic back problems. Deep water aerobics is a killer for my back. I've told the instructors I can't swim and I have back problems (back problems are why I am really there. Dr's orders to do water aerobics and might not need another surgery or can postpone it!). Needless to say, I couldn't do any of the exercises. Just managed to sputter and sink! Grrrr! So aggravated with myself.

Thanks to all who replied to my latest post on my weigh-in. I am crying tears of joy right now as i am typing this. I cannot believe i am doing this well. I am Encouraged by your post . This is why i love to post on Disboards. You all are great. Thanks and God Bless you all

Hi, I'm new to the Podcast board, but I saw your post and just wanted to say congrats!!!! Keep up the fantasic and HARD work!!!! :cool1:

Ron I'm off to Weight Watchers this morning for a 9am weigh in. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Why this is important to me...I'll tell you my saga.

In 2006 we decided at the last moment to take a trip to Disney World over spring break with our daughter (then age 10). About a week after I booked the trip I had a panicky moment and realized that at 262 pounds there was a good chance that I would need a seatbelt extender on the airplane. And there was a good chance (not knowing that WDW was Pooh-sized friendly because I hadn't been in 9 years) that I would problems with some of the rides. So off to Weight Watchers I went on January 5, 2006. When we went on vacation in March I was down 20 pounds. Did the best I could while I was there and when I came home I hit WW hard and kept going.
So when we visited in March 2007 I weighed 145 pounds. I continued to keep that weight off until summer/fall 2008. When we moved from the city to a more rural setting and a whole new town. There were a lot of stressers when we moved out here and things never seemed to settle down and the weight started to creep back on. Of course, this is mostly because I stopped eating what I SHOULD and started eating what I WANTED. So when the blue jeans stopped fitting I figured back to Weight Watchers for me.

With my Lifetime status I am supposed to weigh in once a month anyway but there weren't any locations very close by. So now I drag myself in 25 miles one way each week. My goal weight is actually 160 and when I checked back in in January I was 159. Still below goal but 14 pounds heavier than I like to be.

So here I sit at 147.8 hoping to be at 145 by next week. I have today's weigh in and then I will weigh in one day early due to traveling next week and that's it. So do I HAVE to lose 2.8 pounds? No, not really. My clothes fit and all that. It's just I would like to be where I have been the past two years and that is the weight I like to maintain.

Gosh I kind of chatty this morning! Sorry. Kevin said most threads get hijacked! :rolleyes1

I just started WW this past Monday. My initial weigh in was 197:scared1: :scared1:

I was determined not to hit 200 and getting that close inspired me! This first week has been tough, but I love to hear that it can be done and maintained! I am tall (5'9") and most of my height is in my legs (even tall pants on me are often "high waters"), so I actually wear it well as long as I don't expose my legs! But who wants to walk around in pants all the time??

I have 47 lbs to go to my goal and I am determined to get there and STAY there!

Good luck at your weigh in!:thumbsup2

GOOD JOB EVERYONE! disney has been my best motivation for weight loss. when im running on my treadmill listening to disney music, i think about the parks. two years ago, i weighed 235 lbs and walking around the parks as fast as my skinnier friend was such a challenge! so after that trip, i said, im going to do this! and ive been doing weight watchers since last january. i now weigh 164 lbs and my goal is 150 lbs ... so 14 more to go. i know i can do it by the time of my next trip (sept.) !! i love hearing all of your stories! its such good motivation! :cool1:

I'm Glad all is well with you now. In 2003 I was weinghing 255 lbs. It was hard to get out of bed each morning because my lgs were hurting so bad. Pluss I had slight chest pains . I had to go see my doctor who found out that I had High Blood pressure. so That's why I had to lose weight. so fas forward to 2009 I began to finaly started to shed pounds through eating the right foods, excercising and advoiding stress. My Church Pastor and many church members are starting to notice that I have lost weight. By the way I am going to do a second weigh-in tonight I will keep you informed . I know that little progress will be made since Tuesday But I would like to see how i am doing so far so I can keep doing what I have been doing So there will be a seperate post tonight on how things are going. And a update next week .

Sorry it took me so long to get back to post!!! Yesterday was crazy and I worked in my home office until 1am this morning. I've had about 2 hours of sleep and I'm back up surfing the internet because the dog keeps waking me up. Also setting the house alarm off at 3:30 didn't help with my sleep pattern either!

Sooo...-2.2 this week. :cool1: I had been losing at a regular pace like that since I went back but then 2 weeks ago I had a -.8 and last week was -1 so I was beginning to fear that I wouldn't make it to 145 before we left. But now only .6 left and TECHNICALLY I made it to 145(.6). So I'm happy. Surprised! But happy. My next weigh in will be Wednesday morning.

SoonipiLady...please PM if you ever have any questions about WW. I've been doing it so long I can do it with one hand tied behind my back. The first few weeks can be so overwhelming but I promise if you will just stick with it and keep going to your meetings you will have success. It is a really rewarding program. Good Luck!

Ron, let us know how your weigh in goes.
