We are using Wegoshop for our July Vacation. What do people generally tip for their services? TIA

I would like to know too. We are using them next month.

I've used them three or four times now and like any other tipping situation, my tip depended on the service. For the time the groceries were delivered right on time and the shopper called us when an item was out of stock, I tipped him 20%. This guy even forgot our coffee filters, made an additional trip for them and then didn't want us to pay when he delivered them. Wonderful service.

The shopper who was 2 hours late and deposited my groceries on the sidewalk in front of BLT saying she couldn't come up to deliver them, broken eggs and melted ice cream all included in this wonderful service got 10%. My husband was so aggravated he wanted to do less than that, but I worked as a waitress through college and I can't go that far.

Wow, that's mighty generous of you. But, did you get a credit for the melted ice cream and broken eggs?

I'm sure we could have if I had called the owner, but I try not to stress stuff like that on vacation. I have enough stress day to day and try very hard to let it all go when I check in. Not that I'm always successful in that, but I do try.

I generally tip between 15 and 20 percent -- attitude, promptness, engagement...they are the discriminators between 15 and 20.

So I am guessing from these responses that WeGoShop doesn't charge any tip at all in the price they charge. It is totally up to you to pay what you want.

There is a service fee, but my impression is that fee goes to the owner, not the driver. Wegoshop provides you with the receipt from the store showing the exact charge for your purchases, then they add the service fee and that amount is what you owe. The tip is just for the shopper/delivery person.

This will be my 8th time using WeGoShop for our May trip and I can honestly say we have never had an issue with them. The service has always been very good and we always tip 20%. However, if I had ever recieved less service than we have gotten in the past the tip would be less. They will even come back if you run out of things you want or need and we've always had good service with that too.

WeGoShop has always been excellent. I would guess 10-20% depending on how much that works out to be.

We always use Marge at WEgoShop and we love her service. I usually tip 15 to 20 percent.

Do you still get to choose the store they shop at? We used Marge a few years ago and I think we used Walmart. What stores can you choose from and is one cheaper than the other? Thanks

Yes! That is one of the best things about wegoshop...you can get the things you get at home! :woohoo:

As far as the tip we usually do 20%....but if we got poor service, the tip would be less...

I don't think Marge still does it. I just checked their website and the owner's name is Amy now.

Yes, I spoke directly to Amy. We also had used Marge before and had great service. I just couldn't remember the tip. We are already set up with a 5pm. delivery and I can add things to my list up to 2 days prior. Thanks again for the tip info. DD and I decided that we would rather not spend vacation time food shopping.

Used Amy a couple of months ago. No problems, just book several weeks in advance, she gets real busy depending on the time of year.
