wegoshop or grocery store?

Hi there! We will be arriving between 8:30 - 9:30 pm. I was wondering if it would be better to order groceries from wegoshop or stop by a store after we get the kiddos settled in. DH can run to the store while kids (hopefully) sleep and I unpack.

Is there a quick, easy place to go to close to FW. Is it too much of a hassle after traveling all day? How good is wegoshop and when do they deliver?

Never have tried wegoshop.,but there is a publix , and a few other grocery stores within 15-20 minutes of FORT WILDERNESS. Plus, while dh goes to the store, and you get kids to bed, when he gets back,mom and dad time+ adult beverage time.

That late at night Publix is already closed, so your choices would be Goodings (too expensive) or Super Wal-Mart.

I love Super Wal-Mart so that would be my first choice. Some folks don't like Super Wal-Mart because of the size.
There are two of them fairly close to WDW. One is on East 192. Just head out World Drive and head East on 192 and it is on the right.

The other one is on Hwy 27 N just after you get off of 192W. Head out World Drive and head West on 192, then head North on 27. Wal-Mart is on the right.

If you don't want to venture to Super Wal-Mart, then WeGoShop would be your best bet.

There might be another store that is open later and closer to Ft. Wilderness, but those are the ones I am familiar with.

That late? Even when I worked for Publix in the 70's they were open till 9PM. 8:30 or 9:00 gives you plenty of shoipping time.

So, for your shopping pleasure visit my favorite Florida chain, Publix Supermarkets.) Stop on your way in for your needs, then if necessary stop again if you make any side trips off Disney property. There are many other stores in the local area including Winn Dixie and Goodings (a bit high in prices). The closest Publix I have found is Publix Regency Village Shopping Center.

Driving Directions:
Exit the Disney complex on Hotel Plaza Blvd (Lake Buena Vista) to 535, turning right on 535.

Drive under I-4, turning left at the first light after you cross under I-4. This should be Vineland Ave.

Continue on Vineland Ave, past the outlet stores (nice center) and follow the signs to Publix.

This is about 5 minutes further than Goodings, but you save a bunch!

I guess I was thinking that if they arrived at 8:30 or 9:00. By the time they checked in and got the kids settled a bit, it would be much later.

We landed at 8:45 one night, and got to luggage claim by 9:15 and our towncar driver wouldn't go by Publix because he said they were closed. Goodings was our only choice.

Hi CLKelly I guess that I didn't say it right. We should be getting to FW around 8:30 or so. What is the latest wegoshop delivers? Is it easy to find your way around? Is traffic light that time of night?

We will be driving down on the I-75 from Tennesse and will be arriving early on check-in day. Can anyone recommend a Publix close to WDW on our way in, so we can stop and pick up our groceries to stock the trailer for our 11 day trip.

The way we come in is in Florida, get off I-75 onto the Florida turnpike, then get off of the Florida Turnpike at Clearmont (US 27). Take US 27 till you reach 192. Just before you get to 192 on the left, there is a Super Wal-Mart. Just after you get on 192 on the left, there is a Publix.

After leaving Publix, continue East on 192 and you will come up on World Drive, then follow the signs to Ft. Wilderness.
