Myself and DH along with our 21 yr old son .... his friend and another friend of his to join us down there.
Son and I drove to Virginia to stay overnight and meet DH who works in VA and then fly out of Dulles. We had day to kill so DS and myself decide to take Metro to DC for the afternoon. Had a nice time touring the Museum of American History.
The next morning we arrived at Dulles to fly to MCO and meet our Magical Express. Flight was delayed due to a passenger who seemed "out of it" and without his med's. He had to be removed from the plane and we were then able to take off. This sooooooooooo calmed me down .... NOT!!! (since I am a nervous flyer). All things considered flight was fine and we arrived 20 minutes late but able to meet our Magical Express bus. We loved this and I recommend it to all. Watched a video on the way and had a bus driver who played Disney trivia questions with us.
We arrived at CSR and our room was ready so we placed our bags in the room and off we went to Bus Stop #1 for our bus to MK. We met our son's friend who was waiting for us in the park. We walked over to get our first shot of Philharmagic and then proceeded to Haunted Mansion. We then had lunch in the Plaza Restaurant. I usually have a great lunch there but the salad was a little limp and just not up to the standards we have experienced there before. Regardless, we were energized and decided to head over to MGM. It was time for Millionaire... and the kids then fast pass'd RNRC. We decided it was time to head back to resort (since we just threw our bags in the room) and get ready for our evening. We had dinner at Chef Mickey's and as always it was great. I had my chocolate moouse cake (which I LOVE) and some key lime pie. Afterwards.... we went downstairs into the Arcade at the Contemporary and kids as well as ourselves played for about an hour and a half. I enjoyed my Ski-Ball challenge with my DH and several other games. We decided it was getting late and needed to get going. So.... we found the kids (who were loaded with tickets) and told them "time to head out". We got to ride up front in the monorail then.... we headed over to PI.
Well.... we had an encounter with a fellow from the Adventurer's Club who was just plain RUDE. Over the course of 30+ years I have never reported a CM ... but .... this one was the pits! Rather than go into detail.... I will just say that "Kirk" does not deserve to wear ears... at least.... his ears need to be pinned back just a bit LOL. My DH being the kind man that he is said to let the rude encounter go and not allow anyone to ruin our evening. Kongaloosh! to all.... but.... for us that night .... we decided to leave AC early.
From there we went to Comedy Club (our favorite thing to do at Disney) and the show was good but we were looking forward to seeing Krista and Mary and they were not scheduled. All and all we enjoyed the show!
After a "blue drink" and a margarita it was time for us to head back to El Centro and climb into our beds for our rest for the next day.
Day 1 .... over.... good time was had by all!
