Hello my son and I are going to WDW for the weekend just to go to MNSSHP on that Friday night. We will have Saturday open. Thought we would do DT and hang around the resort. We're staying at AoA. wondering if there is anything that we could join in on at the campground? We'll be there Oct.3-5. Do you have to have reservations to eat everywhere at the camp ground? Will there be any activities that we could go over there for. What would be the best way to get there?:confused3 Thank you in advance for all help.pixiedust:

I assume with DT you mean Fort Wilderness. There are lots to do at Fort Wilderness. Every night they have a Chip and Dale sing along with a Marshmellow Roast followed by a an outdoor movie (weather permitting). They have archery, horse back riding and water activities as well (at a cost). There are nature trails that provide a great chance to see things such as deer, turkey etc. There is a counter service restaurant at Trail's End. If you prefer Table Service there is probably a decent chance of getting a reservation thre. HDDR and Mickey's Backyard BBQ probably are completely booked by now.
To get there. Several options. A bus to MK and then the Boat to FW would be my choice. Technically you could take a bus to any of the Theme Parks and then another bus to FW. I would go with MK and then the boat.

Thank you so much. No by DT I meant Downtown Disney sorry wrong abbreviation. I thought we would go to Fort wilderness that evening if we could do something there. Will the campsites be decorated then and can we walk around and see them? Thanks again.

Take a bus direct from DTD to FW. You can eat without reservations at Trail's End. You can also walk the camping loops to see the decorations. Or take the couple different bus routes to see perimeter decorating.

Thank you so much. My weekend is quickly approaching. Hoping my 15 year old son will enjoy our trip with just the two of us. Dad doesn't want to go for a quick trip.:furious: He said he is Disney-ed out! :rotfl2:
