I really can't believe that I'm planning a trip for DH and DSs and that I won't be going. I want to do it and they will love it but how can I send them and not go myself?? :confused3

But anyway, They will be attending Star Wars Weekend number 3. Arriving late Thurs. leaving early Monday. My husband is inclined to use points and stay at one of the MGM area resorts if possible (I do need to still check availability but didn't want to tie up member services until I really wanted to make the res.)

I've tried to research this before asking and I realize that everyone values their points differently. The money saving side of me is saying that we should just have them stay at one of the All Stars and keep the points to use for a Sun-thus full family vacation in the next few years with the banking etc.

Having not ever stayed at the All Stars what I'm having a problem with is how to value the ease of getting to MGM. Obviously from the epcot dvc's walking is a good fast option. How is the transport from All Stars to MGM? Which would you do?

As usual thanks in advance and look forward to the "What should I do with a whole weekend to myself with just DD2?" :goodvibes

We stayed at Pop Century for part of our January stay and we had no problems with the busses taking us to MGM. The boats were probematic when we switched to BWV for the rest of our stays. The winds were so bad, the boats couldn't dock at the S&D, and there were problems with boats not picking us up at all at MGM.

We usually stay at PC and have had not had problems either in September when we went to MGM from PC as well by bus. I don't have wait times, but we never felt put out by waits.

Bobbi :)
