What is everyone up to this weekend? Gonna be 90 plus here so we will be doing a lot of floating in the pool and getting stuff ready to go on a 10 day camping trip to Maine soon. Weekends are definitely quieter now that the kids are grown…a whole new normal. You guys have anything fun planned?

Family comes over tomorrow for lunch and then they are going to the kids' school ice cream social......no time for pool.'
107 tomorrow.....down from 111 today.
Sunday will be usual.....laundry and clean upstairs

Hot here too! :sunny:
Grocery shopping done, so I don’t have to go out at all if I do t want to. :)
Just chilling with the air conditioner at home. :thumbsup2

Staying inside every day until the temps cool to 90 which is about 10pm. Every night it's like a parade in our neighborhood between 10 and 11pm. People out walking their dogs, kids on scooters who have been cooped up inside all day, people watering lawns. It's like backwards day, every day.

My daughter is away for the weekend so I’m cat sitting at her house. I don’t mind and she’s watched our dogs many times. So I will bring a book and hang out there. And let’s be real, I’ll get bored and end up cleaning. She knows it, I know it, and they actually appreciate it so I might as well.

Teachers head back to school Monday so this is last Friday, last Saturday, and last Sunday.

Friday and Saturday will be fine but Sunday she will be grumpy.

No big plans though.

Big weekend for us. All sons, wives, and grandchildren will be here to celebrate our (oldest) 6 year old granddaughter's birthday. This will be the first time all of us are together (because of the distance between us) since Christmastime so it's very special.

Its going to be too hot to do anything outside here, 105 I think. So the kids are wrestling in the Show Me Games tomorrow and its the 11 yr olds bday party on Sunday, followed by football equipment fitting and hand out Sunday evening. I'll need to come back to work monday to rest lol

I'm hoping to take one of the cars thru the emissions center tomorrow morning first thing, followed by a pit stop at the grocery store then home to mow. Husband is going crabbing. I will then blow up the little pool & fill it up, then whine to myself in my head for not putting the pool in last year when we could have and hope a door-to-door pool salesman doesn't show up and find me in a weak state!
Maybe sunday take in a movie? Take out the boat? go out for breakfast? We have no plans but maybe we will do something off the cuff.

Boating around the lake for a couple of hours tomorrow, working on the garden and euro trip stuff-Sunday AM. Hubby and I have been doing an early Happy Hour on Sundays at place that overlooks another lake near us. We call it done around 8pm on Sundays. ZZzzzz....

92 here tomorrow- my plan was dvd rental and jack reacher book

But now. We are changing our 20 year old deck. The carpenter decided to come this week and has loosened most of the boards. DH can borrow a dump truck this weekend. Our HOT date is to put them in the dumpster.

The company can not get Balusters that we like. DH found them with another chain- they are being discontinued. We found a store that has 368 in stock. We are off for a l o n g drive to collect them Saturday.

DH did say the dog is eating our sweet corn today- so it must be ready. Happily I shall now be enjoying that this weekend.

Not much. Going to get new glasses and then go to Target to buy inflatable tubes, sunscreen and other supplies for my family's trip to Hilton Head Island in two weeks.

I am supposed to go buy a couch but as of right now I am just feeling up to the hours drive, each way, to do so.

We are headed to a friends lake cabin tomorrow (it’s about 2 hours away) then I need to get stuff together on Sunday to head out of town for work next week.
