I will be taking my children ages 3 & 5 to London for the weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions on things to do with them? I only know of Storybook gardens.

Also if anyone knows where I could get coupons or discounted tickets for the area attactions, please let me know.

Thanks to all the London DISERS who are sure to reply!! :sunny:

Another option is the London Regional Children's Museum on Wharncliffe Road just south of the river. When our guys were younger they really enjoyed it - there's a lot of hands-on demos there. Here's a link to the web site, such as it is...

Both of those are good ideas. The website for the city is www.london.ca (I think) and there are lots of ideas there too about parks, etc.

There are a few splash pads around the city that are fun. Also there's Adventures On Wonderland (google it but they def. have a web site) which is a big indoor play place that your kids would be a good age for. The librarys are really good too. There's a big library in Galleria, a shopping centre (kind of - a bit of a ghost centre now..) and also a second run Cinema which is at www.rainbowcinemas.ca . I think a matinee is about 3 bucks there and you can get a meal and amovie for 12.95 for grown ups at the Elephant and Castle downstairs which is a good restaurant, pub type of place.

East Park Golf Gardens has waterslides (again I don't know the web site but there is one) if your kids are into that. There are also some good indoor pools in case it rains. We like the "Whale Pool" which is really called South London Community Pool and it has a big pool and a smaller pool which is really warm. The hours are on the city of london web site. They also have a big waterslide in there.

There's a really neat toy store called The Toy Shoppe which is on Fanshawe Park Road. They have fun toys that the kids can play with and also massive climbing frames outside that kids can play on. They have a web site too.

Springbank park, which is just beside storybook gardens, also has lots of fun stuff. They have swings and climbers and a wading pool.

That's all I can think of right now. Hope that helps! Have fun this weekend. Storybook Gardens is great. DH took DS there last week and they had a blast. We have a membership so we can go all the time. They have a great splash pad there too.
