Marcus- my DS , age 4. His favorite part of the trip was getting "star wars" figures at Tatooine Traders. Hmm... we could have saved all this money and just took him to Kaybee toy store.
Maria- my mom, 57
Luc- her husband, 33- that's right!
We were on the road at 6:20am Friday morning- mom's car wouldn't start, so they had to transfer everything to the truck. They were supposed to be at our house at 6:00am. We stopped at a service plaza about 8:30 and there were like 8-10 buses of middle school kids heading to Orlando!!!! Thankfully, we didn't see them again!!! Got to ASMo about 10 am , checked in - no line at all! Then we headed to MK. It was pretty crowded! We were walking up main Street and the castle show was going on. Marcus started screaming and crying in his stroller- he hates the witches . Went to Buzz- wait was 15 min. , then Astro Orbiter-wait 15 min. We got fastpasses for Pooh and went to eat at Pinnochio's Village Haus. We still had time , so we went on Dumbo-wait 20min. Then went back for Pooh. FASTPASS is AMAZING!!!! this was our first time using it-we didn't need it at all in November . Got a popsicle for Marcus and saw Mr Smee!!!! He wouldn't go near him, so I got his autograph and had my picture taken with him. We walked over to Frontierland -went on tomSawyer's Island (Michael had gotten fastpasses for Thunder Mountain). Michael, Marcus, and Luc went exploring on the island , while a "wiped out" Susy and Maria headed to Aunt Polly's. We sat on the patio and had floats and just rested for a half an hour. I think I 'll come here for lunch next time! We rode Thunder Mountain- just walked right on ahead of tons of poeple!!! Marcus loves this ride!We then decided to see if our rooms were ready. One was, so we took the train from frontierland to main Street and headed out (I missed the parade again-oh well). It was about 1:30pm. When we got to ASMo, we called the housekeeping and they got the other room ready. We got all of our requests. We got connceting, NS rooms in Toy Story. We were on the first floor , on the quiet side. It was very nice. We did get the FL Res rate of $49 and this was very good for this property. I thought I wuld hate it, but I would stay there again. We didn't have one problem!!! It was very clean, very quiet and very convenient. The food court and the pool were very nice and very close to our room. I would say that some of the rooms in Fantasia were a lot further away than we were! I liked being on the first floor , also. Having two rooms was nice. I didn't find them small, but I could see if your family is on the "heavy" side, how it could get cramped in there just trying to walk by each other. We stayed at a Marriott in Ft Lauderdale in Dec and the room seemed just as small and their rack rate was $400!!! Anyway, I would recommend the All-Stars. I didn't see anything wrong with it. After resting and going in the pool (this has been a very HOT January) we headed to Epcot. I thought it was empty in Nov-this place was deserted!!!! Walked on to Spaceship Earth and the Land ride. The Garden Grille was empty!!!!! When I say empty I mean there was no one in the waiting area and no one at the tables!!! When we were on the Land, Pluto was leaning over the railing and waiving at everyone for quite a while! This is where we should have eaten-but we wanted to try something new. You should go with your instincts!!!!! Got to San Angel Inn for our 6:30 PS. This was also pretty empty. This place is gorgeous!!!!! It's like you are eating outside. Marcus didn't like the volcano and wanted to leave. His "chicken strips" were teeny-tiny and tasted horrible and greasy. The rest of the food was out of this world!!!! It's not Chili's though!!! It is authentic Mexican food. We actually split our entrees and this worked out. If we had each ordered separately it would have gone to waste. After dinner, Michael took Marcus back to the room and Maria, Luc and I decided to take the bus back later. We rode El Rio del Tiempo and Maelstrom . Marcus cannot go on these rides! Those trolls scared ME!!!! Went to Kringla bakery and had some pastries, then walked around Norway and China. I debated about these silk pj's, but decide to leave that for the next trip. Saw TOD and Illumnations and headed to the buses. We got right on and off we were! I think we just had a crazy bus driver, because I didn't feel that
safe! Got back and Marcus was up! They had gone to DD!! I was wiped out and took over an hour to fall asleep. I wanted to be home and went to sleep hating Disney (can you imagine???)
