Hi all, we have traditionally gone to enjoy the holiday festivities during the middle of December, however, due to a potential work conflict for one of my family members, we may need to explore moving the trip up a bit. Is the beginning of the week just after Thanksgiving, still very crowded? Specifically we would be looking at possibly moving our dates for a relatively short trip arriving the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov 26) and departing on Wednesday Nov 30. For those who have travelled then, is there still quite a bit of crowd carryover from Thanksgiving then, or does it quiet down somewhat by Sunday? Thanks!

We go to Disney every year during that time frame (this has been our pattern for at least 15 years now)...

T-giving Day itself, and the Fri-Sat following it, are "maximum" busy. Very crowded. (But, by arriving at the parks early, using FPes and not trying to do "commando touring" it's still a ton of fun)...

Sunday afternoons are still crowded, but less so.

By Sunday night and into the following week, it's "low crowd" level. And, all the decorations are up, and all the holiday shows and "special events" are operational by the Friday after T-giving (most well before then).

Hope that helps...

I have heard that it is. My best friend flew in 2010 the day of Thanksgiving. She said it was SWAMPED the weekend after Thanksgiving. On Tuesday after Thanksgiving, it was super quiet/low crowds until the next weekend.

Thanks, I am thining this may work for us, as we are going to do a pretty low key park trip and take time to relax (hopefully swim if weather cooperates), catch the resorts, and holiday shop a bit too. I am thinking if we did Sat/Sun as relax days, the MVMCP Sunday night, Epcot with Candlelight Processional Monday, and then MK Tuesday this might work ok with crowd flow. Thanks for the thoguhts/experience!:flower3:

Just remember that is a busy time for DVC members so I would book ASAP.
