Weekdays vs Weekends, does it really matter?

Hi Guys!!!

Just curious for those of you who go enough to know the answer to this

Does it REALLY make a difference to go weekdays vs weekends, I’ve always avoided weekends but how bad are they? We are the go at rope drop and leave by lunch people if that helps

Looking for a quick 3 day trip, I can pull the kids out if I need to but we could go more often if I could pop in for a long weekend

I appreciate any input on this!
Thanks so much!

The only park I would avoid on weekends is Epcot. I went to Epcot on a weekend in February and it was nuts. Shoulder to shoulder people in some areas. Locals love going to Epcot on the weekends for the festivals and World Showcase.

What about future world or whatever it’s called now? We want to split it into 2 shorter days. Will do world showcase on a weekday but is the other part bad on a weekend?

Agree with this - seemed much tougher to get around on the weekends. As for Future World, there are so many construction fences right now, it feels somewhat crowded most of the time - even if it really isn't! It'll be such a relief when all that comes down......

Yeah, Epcot hosts a lot of weekend events that draw locals particularly.

I made the mistake of going back to Epcot on a Saturday to buy something we had forgotten to buy on our way out of the park. It was crazy busy because Dapper Dans Day.

The vintage costumes people wore were gorgeous, though. One couple were dressed as a WW2 soldier and his girlfriend. They looked spectacular as did others such as a 1950s "airline stewardess" as they were called then.

Disney Springs is also for the courageous on weekends. Oddly enough, we once came out of a parking garage there and saw a good friend walking along. Being ever so well-mannered, we screeched her name, somewhat startling her. We go to WDW only once a year and had arranged a meetup with her a few days later so were really surprised to run into her in a huge DS crowd.

I used to always say to avoid Epcot on weekends but during our November trip I didn’t notice much difference from a weekday to a weekend. WS was a zoo all of the time. It may have even been easier to walk through WS on a Sunday afternoon than during the week. Epcot is just absolutely nuts during Food and Wine no matter the day.
