We may be considering getting breakfast at the Contemporary's The Wave... on a Monday morning during our January trip. My wife is pressing me to ease up on the number of ADR's, and we're not concerned with going early before MK's opening. I'm wondering if everyone thinks it's a feasible walk-up or last-minute reservation choice?

Absolutely! I often make Wave ressies the night before or morning of. Its one of my faves and very underrated.

I wouldn't worry too much!! We went in February on a Saturday over a race weekend and had no trouble finding times for our party of 6. We actually changed our reservation not too long before (like 2 hours) and it wasn't a problem.

We did a walk up on a Friday morning a couple of weeks ago around 8:45 and had no wait. There were plenty of tables available. I highly recommend it!

I'm sure you'll have no issues, but....

Why? I always think "ya gotta eat; why not make arrangements for it?" :)

Not sure about the OP, but we don't like to be tied down to time or place. We make ADR's for 4-5 meals during our 10 night stay, then wing it for the others, whether TS or CS. Sometimes we only want a snack for a meal - the horrors!! :goodvibes

I always seem to make more ADRs than we end up actually using, but I figure as long as a cancel as soon as we know we aren't going to use one we won't get charged and someone else can use it.

Without question you can get it day of. We did this about 30 minutes before we ate and had no issues at all
