Weekday Brides--How did you word your Save the Date letter?

I just received my preliminary Save the Date letter from my sales rep, but I think I'm going to have to change the wording...it currently says "Please plan on joining us for a weekend of fun and excitement to celebrate this wonderful event", but my wedding is on a Tuesday, so the whole "weekend" thing just sounds stupid to me! On the other hand, I don't want to say "please join us for a week of fun...", because I don't want people thinking they need to stay for a full week and our wedding stuff is only happening on 2 days anyway (dessert party on a Monday, wedding on a Tuesday). So my question to all you weekday brides out there is how did you end up wording your Save the Date letter? Details, details, details!!!

Although I haven't encountered this... I would think "Please join us to celebrate... " and then maybe something like "... it's guaranteed to be packed with fun & excitement."

Scott and I were discussing that yesterday and I think we were just going to eliminate the "for a weekend of"...our wedding is on a thursday and we don't want people to feel obligated to stay the whole weekend!

Hi! They'll totally change the wording for you! Our wedding is also on a Tuesday and we just crossed out the "a weekend of." It reads "...joining us for fun and excitement to celebrate this wonderful event..." Hope that helps!
