Hi all. It looks like my husband and I will have to change our plans for vacation. The only available week we can possibly go is Feb 16-22. How bad is this week at Disney crowd-wise? Is It completely unbearable, like summer, or just more crowded that the slow season. I need brutal honesty here people. If I could avoid it, I would. But I can't so I am now just trying to prepare myself for the worst.:Pinkbounc

My husband and I are there every year at that time(we go to the Daytona 500 then head to Disney). The park will be crowded on 16th and 17th, about the same as summer, maybe just a little less, then most people leave, and the rest of the time there will be a lot less people. The best time to go is the week just prior to that one-there are no crowds! But you will have a great time I am sure. Just be sure to take advantage of the Fast Pass service to help you with the wait times, and look forward to Wednesday!

Have fun!

If higher crowds would be that much of a frustration, you can always just not go. That would seem preferable to "preparing for the worst."

This is THE only time we can go on vaction this year. Our son starts school in August and we have to move during the summer. I have a saying, "Hope for the best and prepare for the worst" If you had a choice of going on vacation during a busy time or not going at all, you would problaby not go at all. But after two years of no vacation benefits and several lay-offs, I can wait no more. I just would like to be aware of the crowds before I enter so I DON'T get frustrated.

It'll be crowded but probably not as bad as in the summer. Presidents day will be a crowd factor, plus I *think* that is vacation week for several states in New England. I don't think NH is on that list, but I expect Mass is, and probably several others. But it won't be absolutely insane. Remember Fast Pass works great, and no matter the crowds it's still the most magical place on earth. Plus, with the crowds, the parks are open later which is nice, and most of the night shows will happen. There are benefits.

That's when I'll be there! It's my only possible vacation time for the past 6 years and for another 2 years to come.

It'll be crowded, but since I have no other choice, bad vacation will still be better than being at work.

We went last year at that time and will be going again this year. We really didn't find it to be too bad. The waits were not terrible and fast pass definately worked great. And it was much better to be there in 70 degree weather than swelter in the heat of the summer. That makes any wait seem different. Go and enjoy. I'm sure it will be "magical".;)

:bounce: We go for the month of Feb every year. You will be down Feb16-22. Feb 16 is President day and the end of speed weeks at Daytona (500) on the 15th. After the 16th you will not notice any excessive crowds. Just normal. Friends just got back and they say things are very quiet.
