Week of Christmas?

Went for our first trip in August and am looking to go back. DH is willing to go again but not when it is so hot. Since we have school age kids, that leaves going at Christmas time. We would probably go Christmas 2004 (leave on Friday the 17th until Thursday the 23rd). Is this time real crowded or is it more towards Christmas Day?

Checking my crystal ball LOL I would think that those dates should be fine. It would depend on when the schools get out. My guess would be that the 20th thru 22rd should be OK. The weekend before Christmas should be fairly busy, but nothing like the week between Christmas and New Years. We have been at WDW over the christmas period for the past 5 years. With proper planning, PS's and the right attitude you should have a blast. Send me a PM if you have more questions

Planning to go Christmas 2004 also but arriving 12/25 & leaving 1/1...How far in advance can or should we do PS?

DeeMarch: You can now do all PS's 90 days out. For some like the Luau or Hoop De Doo you can do them I think up to 2 years out. Check the PS calculator at www.wdwinfo.com.

went the week before christmas three years ago. Not very crowded early the week before Christmas. Do MK as soon as you get in town, because it gets more crowded each day it gets closer to christmas. ( The 23rd was a crowded day when we went.)

DEEMARCH You will be right in the heart of it, but it's great. The booking window for most PS's is 90 days. I called for all my PS's at the 90 day window , but not a the crack of dawn, got everything I wanted but did have to be flexible on a few of the times.
Print out this years hours , makes a good planing guide for next year, since PS's are at 90 days, and parks hours are usually 60 days. Welcome to DVC, nothing better. We are on the other sidge of the GW bridge in Westchester, but spend a lot of time in Bergan county.
