:goodvibesTouring plans has the week as 2-4 in terms of crowds? Does that really sound accurate? I know most schools are back in session by then but that seems really light. Is it like WDW after labor day? I'm trying to understand how crowded it'll be. We were last at DL during spring break 5 years ago and it was busy but very doable compared to WDW

TIA :goodvibes

We've done the week after most schools are back a few times and we are going to be there the same time as you so I am hoping for low crowds as well. However, the 60th is making everyone throw all predictions out the window and the result seems to be a hearty "who the heck knows?"!

:confused3

We've gone t the end of August for the last 3 years and will be there 8/26-9/1 this year. We've also done trips in June, July, November (days leading up to Thanksgiving) and a Presidents Day weekend in February. Of all those trips the crowds have always seemed lightest at the end of August, but I wouldn't describe it anywhere near a 2-4. I feel like if you felt Spring Break was very doable, then you will really enjoy your end of August trip. It will probably be significantly warmer, though. Also, I agree that with all the new stuff for the 60th, who knows?

We'll be in the parks the 23rd-28th. I switched our annual Oct trip to Aug this year hoping to find lower crowds based on a lot of research I did. Last year when I was on Dis leading up to our trip people were reporting low crowds the last couple weeks of Aug so I hope that's what we find! Also crossing my fingers for a week of cooler CA weather, but if not we'll just make the best of it!

Depends on what you consider cooler...my weather app is predicting 33C (91F) for the 23rd and 24th.

When my husband and I were there for our 10th anniversary (four years ago) the CM said that the last week of August is one of the slowest of the year. (we walked on most rides). Of course, things change and with this being the 60th anniversary the crowds will most likely be larger than normal. I will be there Aug 22-26!! Hoping for less than spring break crowds (what I am used too)
