What is this week like at the resorts and in the parks? Is it crazy and not fun or sort of managable--worse or better than June? Never been then but just found out hubby will be off and considering New Years at WDW--sounds fab to me but not if it is wall-to-wall folks--No offense! ;)

and I will be able to get priority seatings right b/c I'm still more than 90 days out-right???

Please advise..Thanks

It will be worse than June. It is the busiest week of the year at WDW. If you don't mind going more for the atmosphere than the rides/attractions then you'll be fine. It would be common for waits to be 120++ for rides, FP's to be gone by late morning for the day, and no walk up dining at sit-down places. The decorations are said to be wonderful though.

It will be wall-to-wall. New Year's Eve is one of the three busiest days at the parks (if not THE busiest).

But lots of people go and have a great time, so I hope you do the same!

I was there last year from Dec 26-Jan 2nd and loved it. The parks are open much longer hours. One park was open at 7 am every day and MK was open til 12 or 1 several days. It is crowded but with some planning it is fun. It was the only time I could go and I was wondering if it was going to be a waste of money before I left. On Jan 2nd we all said we would do it again. It is important to have PS for your main meal of the day. We did two tours that week to get away from the crowds and really enjoyed them. We went to MGM for NYE as it is the least crowded of the parks. We saw the Epcot fireworks from there as they have theirs before midnight and then watched the MGM fireworks. We went to MK early on Jan 1 and there were no line ups at all in the morning.. Do not go expecting to do everything but go for the atmosphere.

If this is your once in a life time trip, go some other time. You will have a difficult time getting on the rides, seeing the shows, etc. Maybe even getting into the park of your choice. But if you will go back another time, this is a fun time to go.

I am going Dec 22-26 and I am quite nervous! I've been the WDW a million times, so I'm not worried about not being able to do rides. But I AM concerned that we'll have problems getting food, sitting at the pool, etc.

Advice from anyone who goes during Xmas is appreciated! Do I need to make a PS for every meal!?

If I do end up going to the parks, I'm going to go from 7-9am and then head back to the resort most likely.

You should certainly make a PS for every place you want to eat at the parks. Otherwise you will not be able to get into sit-down restaurants and you will have enormous waits at counter service restaurants!
