We have never been to the park for Christmas decos and would love to plan this years trip around that, my question is, which time has the least crowds? The week before Thanksgiving, or the week after? We are spending the Tgiving holiday in Tampa with our college daughter, and are planning the vacation around that!

I would go after since all the decorations will be up by then and all the people would be leaving after the holiday. We will be there Dec 6th through the 13th. It is a great time to go. I am sorry you will miss the Osborne lights this year but you can still have a great time. Have fun. It is only about an hour and a half from tampa.

I have never been there before, but I'm not sure all the Christmas decorations are up by then.

We have gone four times now the week after Thanksgiving, its a GREAT time. The crowds get smaller every day, and the world looks great decorated.

Also by then the other things are in full swing (Candlelight Processional and MVMCP. I would say Osborn lights but seems like rumers it will not be up this year.)

It is our families favorite time of year to go.

I have read that the week after is the absolute slowest week of the year. The down side of that is that sometimes they cut back hours & shows as a result. I have been there that week many times & recommend it.

have any of you folks who were in the world the week after thanksgiving gone swimming? did you have any warm, sunny days in the pool?

If you live in a cold part of the country you should not have a problem swimming during those times.
When we first moved to Central Florida from NJ, I remember the kids swimming on Thanksgiving, Christmas and News Years Eve, the first year we were here. But, a few years later they swim during the more conventional times.

Plus the Disney pools are heated.

The decorations will be up after Thanksgiving. Crowds are really low then too - 2 years ago you could have swam every day as the temps were 80 - this past year - it was lots cooler - one evening it got down to 32

We have been going the day after Thanksgiving since 2000 and love it. We usually have nice weather, warm during the day and it cools down after dark. We sometimes have 1 cold day, but that has been it.

We love all the decorations and if rumors are true, will miss the Osborne lights this year. We will be there from Nov 27 to Dec 3. We are trying a moderate resort, CSR, this time.
