We're WDW vets who are making our first visit to DLR in 30 years.

Originally booked a DLR trip for March 1-6 of 2015 and then today, I saw all of the scheduled attraction closures for that period. These include Splash, Soarin', Matterhorn, Peter Pan, and World of Color (the last of these scheduled to be finished is Soarin' on May 14):(.

I'm assuming this is a somewhat higher than average number of closures for spring, which probably has something to do with getting everything ready for the 60th year Diamond Anniversary of Disneyland.

Because we'd like to experience DLR with as few major attraction closures as possible, I'm thinking of moving our trip to the week before Memorial Day (would visit the parks Monday, May 18-Thursday, May 21). In that regard, I have a couple of questions:

1. Has anyone gone during this week and, if so, what was it like for crowds and weather?

2. Does DLR typically try to finish most of it's refurbs for the summer season before Memorial Day weekend and, along those lines, are there are other headliners that are rumored to be shut down between now and summer of 2015?

Thanks in advance.

We did that week a couple of years ago. Crowds weren't terrible - but there were quite a few school groups...end of year field trips, maybe? Weather was hot - shorts and tank tops.

What is your source for the list of closures?
The list I've seen only has the Matterhorn listed.

We're going that time of the year. Due to school schedules, we can't change the dates.

Mice Chat had an extensive list yesterday in their update.
