Week before Christmas trip?

I just recently got a PIN code for this holiday season, and now am debating taking a super quick 2/3 day trip to Disney for my fiance's Christmas present. We both love Christmas and have never been to Disney during this time, so figured it would be a good time to go! But, since we can only afford to go for 2 or 3 days max, I'm curious if the crowds will be too insane to be worth the money? We're really good with FP usage, but we typically go during "low crowd" times - past two times we went were end of January and first week in March. We can go any time between the 16-22nd of December. Would it be worth the money for a trip like this if the crowds are insane?

We could alternatively go after Christmas, anywhere from the 27 of December to 7 of January. Would any days in here be better?

I would go with the earliest dates in Dec. that are not on the weekend.

The week between Christmas and New Years is even crazier.

We've been to Disney in December more than a dozen times now, and yes, crowds are somewhere on the spectrum between thick and insane, but we have always been able to do everything we wanted with some careful planning, using FP and rope drop mornings to our advantage.

I love Disney at Christmas and happily, if insanely, go in December by choice for the cooler (relative) weather as well as all the parks decked out in their holiday finest.
