Week Before 4th or Week after

I'm planning a trip. I have a choice of the week before the 4th of July or the week after the 4th. Which one would you choose? I went the 3 days before thanksgiving this past year and it was so crowded. I would like to avoid anything like that if at all possible. Please help me decide.

Middle of summer will be crowded either way. Take advantage of fast pass, early entry and e nights. Take a break if you are staying on property and go back to your hotel and swim during the busiest part of the day then return refreshed as some of the crowds are leaving.

We are going the week after. We are hoping that most people will head home on July 5th. Ofcourse there is no telling what will happen, I just know that we fill have fun regardless!

We had the same choice--but we chose July 4 - 10. I just didn't want my vacation to be over by the 4th.

I'm with MagicalMom, I hope a lot of folks go home on the 5th!!

I really don't want to be there on the 4th. I have the choice of 6/29 thru 7/3 or 7/6 thru 7/10. My thoughts are that the package of buy 5 nights get 2 free. (Great deal!) starts on 7/5. I wish I could stay 7 nights, but I just don't have the time. will this package affect crowds?

We are going the week after the 4th but I would expect the crowds to be about the same whether you choose to go before or after the 4th.

We'll be there July 2 - 10; we're really excited!!! This is our third time visiting for the Fourth of July holiday!!! Its really busy and hot, but we always have a great time!!!

I would think it would be just as crowded as the week of Thanksgiving - and you'll have the heat to contend with too! But, use Fast Pass, and take that afternoon break!!
