We are planning on going down to WDW the week between x-mas and new years, any input on the size of the crowds.

Hi!

One of the most crowded times of the year. The week after Christmas will be shoulder to shoulder crowds, but lots of folks love the time of year and do not mind the crowds ;)

I really like it between Thanksgiving and Christmas - all the decorations are up, there is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and it's very festive. There can be crowds, so it's lots of fun - just not shoulder to shoulder.

If you'd love New York City on New Year's Eve then you'll love the week after Christmas at WDW :flower:

Have a great trip!!

Just one word ~ HUGE!!!

We've been the week between Christmas and New Years on a few trips. We've really enjoyed our trips.
As long as you know it's going to be crowded, you should be magically surprised. Seems like they opened gates to the parks earlier; and Disney works at being fantastic "people movers" so it never really feels like you're waiting anywhere.
Besides, the decorations are beautiful.
Have a great trip!

I've done Times square on New Years... Scarry! I think I'll skip going to the parks a week after Christams!!! UGH!!!! :guilty:

Magic Kingdom will be the most crowded. If they are open late (after Wishes), try to stay. Last year, after Wishes, most people left and we were abe to go on quite a few rides during that last hour or so.

This is the same thing I have heard and is the reason, I will probably wait until Jan 1 instead of Dec 29th.

My DH and I have an agreement: Christmas is at home!

The grandparents have a dream of Disney with all the grandkids. The only time ALL can go is while school is out -- the week between Christmas and New Year 2006. We'll leave for WDW the 26th!

I'm sure you are all well informed...we'll just have to buck up and endure it! It will be many of the grandkids first trip to the mouse :wizard: ! I'm sure the magic will be there regardless. Hope it will be warm enough to return to the resort for a little swimming and a little less crowd.

ANY of the parks less crowded? Will PS be hard to get? (Of course CRT will be hard...but what about everything else?)

Looking forward to the magic.... :grouphug:
